Alfreda of the Russ Parr Morning Show

THANK YOU!!  This is the best book I've ever read on getting over the pain in the butt known as the ex.  The ex-boyfriend, husband, wife, whatever.  It is very encouraging and definitely a book to buy a friend letting go and one to keep for yourself.  Just in case you have to get over another loser.

****INTERVIEW WITH ALFREDAS****

Alfredas is the co-host of the T.V. show, Get The Hook Up on cable TV1, she is also the co-host of the Russ Parr Morning Show. Here is Alfredas one on one interview with Felicia about her life.

Name: Felicia Foy

Birth date: February 4th

Occupation: WRITER, Teacher, and Personal, Professional and Life Coach.

Q: How did you start writing?

A: It all started when I was little. My mom loved books. She was always reading all kinds of books. When I became a teenager I started sneaking her books from the book shelves and reading. Sometimes I was shocked by what she was reading. My mom actually read about sex. Wow.

I became very interested in romance novels. I read them day and night and started buying them.

My first attempt at writing a story was in the ninth grade. My English teacher gave an assignment for the class to write a short story. I procrastinated and on the morning the assignment was due, I woke up at 5:00 a.m. to write it. When I turned it in, my English teacher was so impressed, he decided to enter it in a short story contest and he read MY story to every class. I wasn’t that excited about the contest, but people walked up to me all day and told me how great my story was.

Q: What inspired you to write HURRY UP AND GET OVER YOUR X?

A: Shortly after my ex and I separated, I decided to move back to my hometown. This was very hard for me to do. My children had lived in Tulsa all their lives and now I was moving them hundreds of miles away. On top of that, I had to move in with my mom in a rough neighborhood. I would spend the weekends at one of my sister’s house and sometimes I would be in a funky mood. Because I love to read I was always looking for encouraging books about women going through a divorce, but I couldn’t find anything. My sister advised me to write my own. She said there were probably several people going through a break-up and needing a book to encourage them and give sound advice. So I took her advice and the rest is history.

Q: Who is your favorite author?

A: I don’t have a favorite author. I read books all the time and every year I fall in love with a different book or a different author. Right now, I am in love with Joel Osteen and his book Your Best Life Now; and Kate White’s 9 Secrets of Women Who Get Everything They Want. Everyone needs to be encouraged and motivated and that’s what these books are doing for me right now. Next year if you ask me this question, I promise you it will be a completely different answer.

Q: What do you feel is your greatest accomplishment as a writer?

A: When people email me telling me that the book encouraged them. Knowing that I have a positive affect on people, makes me very proud as a writer, friend, mother, sister, etc.

Q: So I guess you’ve already answered this question, but I’ll ask it anyway, do you like communicating with your readers?

A: Yes. When people email me, I always, always email them back.

Q: What is one thought that you would like to leave people with?

A: Psalms 37:4, Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. As long as you believe, the best is yet to come.
